President, Northeast Region (Miami)

Through hard work and determination I’ve been blessed to be where I am today. One of the ways that I can pay it forward is being a servant leader and help others grow by means of education, advice, sharing my experiences and looking for ways to help them succeed.

Gabino Martinez is currently a Regional Operations Manager with World Electric. He was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and after college he moved to Florida and has been a resident of Miami for 20 years. He has over 21 years of experience in the Operations, Distribution and Supply Chain fields in the electrical industry with a Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification, iLead Leadership Essentials Certification and USHCC DEI Training Certification, leading diverse and multicultural teams, and supporting the sustainable growth and expansion of World Electric.

He has a passion for helping others and elevating Hispanics and Latinos/Latinas in the workplace. In 2022, he founded and is the current President of the first Hispanic ERG at Sonepar USA named Hispanos Unidos. He is also a member of the LatinX Executive Alliance and the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA). He’s an advocate for Hispanic advancement through education and personally, he’s helping 4 young adults in Nicaragua go through college to change the Hispanic narrative not only in the U.S. but wherever he finds he can help.

Gabino has a Bachelor’s in Business Management with Minors in Economics and International Business from Purdue University, where he founded and was the President of the Hispanic Business Student Association, and Treasurer/Regional Representative for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) among others. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
